I'm not a fan of winter. We usually don't get much snow here, we have more ice storms. But this week we have snow, ice and cold. You can see how much snow we have in this picture of the wood pile. Even a little snow managed to get in the hollow log!
I'm grateful we have a fireplace, and wood. While building a fire recently in the fire place, i sat and marveled at the fact we can build a fire in the middle of the house, then had the 'uh duh' moment of realization, I'm thankful we have electricity and don't have to depend on wood heat!
